OK, so I'm Gav and I use and love my Fret-King Esprit V - what I want to know is who are your favourite players?

Mine are Randy Rhoads, Jimi, and Gary Moore, when he has his rock head on.

Oh, I'd like to add Danny Lademacher, a Belgian guitarist who used to play in Holland's #1 rock band from the seventies and eighties, Herman Brood and his Wild Romance.
And now I come to think of it, Ron Asheton of the Stooges of course, what a great, powerful and influential guitarist! It's a shame he died the other day.

It's a tough one isn't it. Each generation over the last 50 years has produced it's own inovators. I'm not really impressed by technique as much as ideas. But a few names that spring to mind would be:

Jimmy Page
Eddie Phillips (The Creation)
Scottie Moore
Jimi Hendrix (Obviously)
Syd Barrett
Stuart Adamson (Skids era)
Johnny Ramone
Mick Ronson
Phil Manzanera
Pete Townsend (I Can See for Miles era)
Graham Coxon
Bernard Butler
Earl Slick
Nick Drake
Bert Jansch
John Martyn
Bill Nelson
Bob Fripp

Oh, I could warble on for ages, but you get the idea. I'm not overly keen on blues rock wailers. But something that kicks me in the knackers or makes me cry is a good starting point.

In no particular order my favourite players have to be Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore, Tony Iommi, Warren Haynes and Luke Morley and Ben Matthews from Thunder.

I have videos of James Broad, of Silver Sun, with a Fret King Esprit V (Golden Skin). As far as I'm aware, he still has it. A vastly underrated band!

Angus, EVH, RR, Hendrix, SRV, Phil Sayce, Guthrie Govan, Riff Guy.

There's also so many ACE, new blood guitarists knocking about the live circuit at the moment, two of my favourites who are good mates of mine : Danmonic Beardsley from Isolysis and Andee Blacksugar from Acey Slade and the Dark Party / Blacksugar Transmission. Danmonic is just such a natural fluid player, whereas Andee is so creative and can make amazing noises.
