Hello to all. I am a new owner of the Supermatic sunburst. The tunings are extremely accurate. The workmanship is exceptional and hardware top notch. One exception I found was the 5 position switch which could have been a little better. I am for the most part very pleased with my new instrument. The strings indeed were too light for my style so went to 10 gauge which the ATD accepted perfectly. Installing was a bit more complicated than standard but next time will be a breeze. The pickups wail! Learning the ATD was a gradual process but works very well. Its so great to switch to the alternate tunings so quickly! I am having the frets changed to lower profiles to help with finger pressure tuning issues. Dressing them was not an option as the technician said they are the largest hes ever seen and would take more effort and correction than just replacement. To address intonation an "Earvana" nut will be installed to perfect chordal note accuracy throughout the fingerboard. Adding a string tree to the "g" to help with a slight buzz at the nut. By the time she is done in the next few weeks it should be amazing to play. Will keep you posted.
