Hello,

Wanted to let you know that I love my new Super-Matic.  It was a bit fussy for me at first switching between tunings, but I discovered a trick that I have not seen discussed anywhere.  Rather than strumming the guitar at the standard position over the pickups, I strum it once firmly at the 12th fret.  The guitar will then tune perfectly to any of the tuning choices without an additional strum.

I suspect that the strings oscillate better/longer with a strum at the 12th fret position??

This guitar is the perfect choice for me as I use Drop D, Standard, and Open G tunings.  When performing live I used to have to play several songs in a row in each of these tunings to avoid torturing the audience with frequent tune-ups.  Now I can play my tunes in any order and avoid the monotony of too many songs in the same key.  Furthermore, I can focus on my vocals and cease worrying about whether my guitar is in tune.

Thanks Trev!

Hi this is Dennis Drumm , M. D. at Fret-King.

Thanks for your positive comments.

Glad you like it so much.

That was an interesting observation about strumming at the most active point of the guitar!

Keep in touch, and very much appreciate you choosing Fret-King and taking the time to post on the message board.
