| Hi folks, I'm ready to order my 3rd Fret-King. I have had my eyes on the Eclat 2 (in red) for a long time and am ready to take the plunge. I can't wait to play the guitar. Any comments on the guitar? Anyone? Feel free to make them. __________________ http://www.el-jefeband.nl

| so, today it arrived from Nottingham (thanks Tom at Millennium Music). Again I'm amazed by the overall build quality. The only thing was that the toggle switch seemed to be faulty, but it turned out be okay after it was cleaned off the greasy stuff that was obviously still protecting something. I'm very happy with this guitar which is from the first production run!! I'll post some pics asap __________________ http://www.el-jefeband.nl

I got mine a couple of weeks ago. Wow, what a great guitar. I'm using it for slide, those P90's are perfect for it!

Hi Rob.
Looks like we're in a pretty exclusive club here! Where are all the other Eclat 2 owners?
I also like the Esprit 3 but found it a bit too heavy for my small self. A shame really as you can never have too many guitars!

| Hi, I agree, we are pretty exclusive, but there must be more Eclat 2 owners. For as far as weight is concerned, both my Esprits (3 & 5) and the Eclat weigh exactly the same!! So, maybe you had an extremely heavy copy.

Really? That's odd, could have been an unusually heavy one or just psychological because of the body shape? Anyhoo I'm chuffed with this one, I prefer two pickups as my favourite tone is with them both selected.
Incidentally what's your rear tone/volume control panel like? Mines a little warped so doesn't quite sit flush against the body. I emailed Fret King at the weekend to see if they supply replacements but haven't had a reply yet. It doesn't bother me that much but just wondered if it was the norm? |

nothing wrong with my eclat's rear panel. You will get an answer pretty soon, I guess. My experience with the people at FK is that they reply really quickly and are ever so helpful __________________ http://www.el-jefeband.nl
